Seller's Guide | Prepare To Sell

Preparing your property for sale may require some work to make sure it is presented in the best possible light. Consider the following:

Curb Appeal

The outside of your property is the first thing people will see. Keep your landscaping trimmed and weeded. Adding fresh mulch and planting colorful annuals will always help catch a buyer’s eye.

Property Repairs

A little paint goes a long way.  Repainting main rooms with light neutral colors can help them look cleaner, fresher and even larger. Wash your windows, replace any cracked glass and torn screens.  Fill nail holes and cracks in plaster walls or drywall.

Cleanliness and Staging

Declutter!  Clear off counters, dressers, and bathroom vanities. Clean glass and mirrors. Dust and have your carpets cleaned.  Make sure your property smells fresh and appealing. Replace any burned-out light bulbs so your property is bright and well-lit. Your Future Address agent will help you plan the best ways to stage your property for maximum appeal.

Disclosures and Inspections

We will help you develop an accurate disclosure statement that benefits both you and the buyer. We may suggest some specific home improvements before we place your property on the market, and we will recommend a trusted inspector to assess your property.

Showtime

No need for you to worry about scheduling showings–we do this for you. Our scheduling service lets you know exactly when a showing is scheduled and when you need to be away from the property. It also allows you to see comments from buyers and their agents.
